This article describes three modles for dissemination of research, relating them to research in music education. The modles are (1) the hyper-rational, (2) dissemination as the social construction of knowledge, and (3) the post-modern view that all knowledge is local. The theories of knowledge implicit in these models are emphasized, and consequences regarding the dissemination of research in music education are suggested. |
